WIP Shoota Nob

An update of my second shoota nob. he is for my imperial guard themed unit. as the other boys are just grunts they have helmets, but the nob is an officer so he gets a peaked cap. i cut up an old metal tank commander for his hat. his choppa is off a fantasy boar boy. to go with the imperial theme, his belly plate is a side dor from a leman russ, and rather than a marine helmet he has a guard head and helmet on his bosspole. his gun is a guard autocannon, with plastic card added to bulk it out and join it to his wrist guard.See below for more discussion about the gun.

i used some new rivets i got from grandt online, which really makes the plastic plates look bolted on. i also used a hexagonal nut and bolt on top of the gun handle to look like a button trigger. the small rivets are the 153 which is the smallest round head rivets. the large one is #128

THis is the WIP of my new warboss, he is very nearly done, i just have to fill in the gaps add the grots, finish the shoulder pads and greenstuff the bits that need it. Cna't think of anything else to say about him other than he is supposed to have mega armour and a KMB. Don;t feel like doing a bits rundown just yet, but would like any comments or suggestions anyone might have.

A fair bit of greenstuff and a good amount of time with the carbide grinder for my proxxon.

A big shoota boy for a shootaboys mob, he goes with the nob below with the autocannon. his squad has looted a bunch of IG stuff so the heavy weapons are all IG heavies. He has a sentinel multi laser, with an autocannon drum mag on the side. his torso is the fantasy plastic command one, as it is bigger than a regular boy torso and the guys in my army with the cool stuff are all bigger. The chain is just some crappy old jewlery we had lying around.

Nob for a shoota mob. they all have rockets and i have used the fantasy ork legs with the kilts for them, so i sculpted him a kilt for looks. as his squad has been butchering marines of all kinds, the rockets are from that race, his rocket is 1/3 of the havoc launcher, and his bellyplate is a chaos champ chestplate. the normal guys in the squad have marine shoulder pads, so he has termie ones. His choppa haft is a fantasy chaos warrior halberd pole and the choppa head is just two warboss choppas. I added greenstuff straps to the shoulder pads to show how they stick on. on the back of the rocket he has a shield with a nod to the green croosade, a maltese cross, that i will be painting green. Still considering putting jewelery chain under his arms from the corners of each shoulder pad, so more show how they stay on, not convinced yet as he is already quite busy.

The nob for the other shootaboy mob, he has an autocannon, and his choppa is the hand from a fantasy boar rider nob i think. still heaps to go on this guy.

Nob from a flashgits mob, the mob that has been killing marines. he lost a battle with a dreadnought once, though obviously smeone got it for him. so he has ghazzies head, a dread pegleg, and the assault cannon for a big shoota. his belly plate is actually a shin guard from a dread strapped to him. he still needs a power pack and more tubing.

Teh other flashgit nob, his unit butchers tau, the big shootas in the unit with all be burst cannons, so of course he has the hammerhead ones rather than the crisis suit ones. he still needs a head, and i think his belly plate with be a gun drone.
